Woodlawn PAC Constitution (PDF)

Attending a PAC Meeting is a great way to stay informed; provide input into fundraising and projects; get to know our principal and vice principal; share ideas; raise issues or concerns; and meet other parents.

Monthly meetings are held generally the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 11:05 am – 12:00 pm in the Library. All parents with children in the Woodlawn School and community members residing with the catchment area may attend the meetings.

Volunteering your time is a great way to support your child’s school! We want to support our staff and students both financially (fundraising) and by volunteering with school activities. Our PAC together with the school, plan many special events throughout the year and we are always looking for volunteers to help. If you are interested in getting involved, let us know! Here are some examples:

Staff Appreciation: Provide baking or food items for Staff Appreciation events.

Hot Lunch Fridays: Collect student orders and payment, package hot lunch items, and fulfill classroom orders.

Fundraising: Collect student orders and payment, compile orders, and distribute items on pick up days.

Book Fair: Work 1 – 2 hour shifts in the Library during this 3-day event in February.

School Events: Help with events like the Winter Fun Day and School Picnic etc.

If you would like to volunteer in any of the above-mentioned events, please fill out the form below and return it to either your child’s teacher or the school office.

Did you know that one day a week we have Hot Lunch delivered to Woodlawn?

Beginning Sept. 21, 2018, Hot Lunch will be available for purchase on Fridays for $3.25/item. This year our lunch will be supplied by Main Bread & Butter.  The three choices each week include: soup and a bun; ½ turkey wrap; and pasta.

Students who wish to order must do so first thing every Friday morning.  For your convenience we have tickets available at the school office that are sold in sheets of 10 for $32.50.  Each ticket may be redeemed for one item during the 2018/2019 school year.  These tickets are valid until June 21, 2019 and carry no cash value (if lost we cannot replace).

Spenst Bros. Pizza Fundraiser

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Your child brought home a letter about an exciting fundraising opportunity to help our school.  Please read the letter and consider participating. The Parent Advisory Council along with Woodlawn School are selling Spenst Pizzas this year as our main fundraiser.  The money from this specific fundraiser will help the school financially in purchasing an indoor rock climbing wall for the gym that every student will get to enjoy.

Our goal this year is to sell 4000 pizzas!  We encourage each of you to help your child sell a few pizzas so that we can meet this goal.  A Lunch Pizza Party will be given to the highest selling class as well as 3 top selling individual prizes.
